Surface Ice on Pluto

Surface Ice on Pluto

This image shows what looks like cracked ice with darker subsurface material coming out. Some of it had even formed hills and ejected material forming pitting in the surface of part of the image. This is best explained by subsurface liquid material, probably liquid water with other material mixed in. This further supports the existence of current geological activity. This is not what is predicted by a 4.5 billion  year old Pluto, but it was predicted by a young Pluto heated by accelerated nuclear decay some 4000 - 8000 years ago. The other thing that needs to be noted about the area is the lack of craters in this image showing that is current geological activity, not ancient geological activity
